Marquiest is the President and Chief Executive Officer of GMG Sports and Entertainment, (GMGSE). For the past 10 years Marquiest has represented professional athletes in multiple sports and many facets, ranging from contract negotiations, endorsements, advertising, and marketing deals. Marquiest is certified as an agent by both the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) and Federation International Basketball Association (FIBA). He’s a highly proactive and versatile accomplished professional with nearly 20 years’ experience in corporate America and the sports and entertainment industry with a wealth of knowledge and endless relationships.
Before launching GMGSE, Marquiest was a Senior Relationship Manager at New Legacy Sports and Entertainment, (NLSE) where he was responsible for managing the business affairs of high net worth individuals such as athletes and entertainers.
Prior to joining NLSE, he has held several executive leadership positions throughout his career at leading corporations and firms including American Capital Strategies, SS&C Fund Services, Citigroup, Watson Rice LLP and partner at Aime’ + Gadson Accounting and Tax Solutions. Marquiest earned a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Benedict College.
He is a member of the National Sports Marketing Network (NSMN) and the National Association of Black Accountants, (NABA). During his free time, he loves being with family, playing golf and mentoring young men within local communities.
Jeff is Vice President of Athlete Representation at GMG Sports and Entertainment, (GMGSE). For the past 15 years he has negotiated contracts for a number of professional athletes in the NBA, WNBA and Europe. Jeff is certified as an agent by the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) and Federation International Basketball Association (FIBA).
Prior to joining GMGSE, Jeff successfully launched Five Star Sports Agency where he represented over 15 professional athletes, including NBA draft prospect (Jamario Moon) WNBA’s Avery Warley and the number one pick in 2005 CBA draft (T.J. Thompson). Jeff is outstanding in helping his players understand the business concepts of professional sports; he prides himself on his personal attention to detail for his clients. Before starting Five Star Sports Agency, Jeff transitioned a successful career in aerospace and engineering where he was a technical advisor responsible for delivery solutions for his high priority clients.
A multi-sport athlete, Jeff attended high school in the rich tradition state of North Carolina. He was recruited out of high school for football and basketball, accepting a scholarship to play football at Elon College. An All District player at Elon, Jeff helped lead Elon to two conference titles as a defensive back. Jeff participated in several NFL team workouts before playing a season with the minor league Harrisburg Patriots.
Jeff's corporate experience and extensive travel throughout the country and abroad helped him develop a tremendous network of industry professionals. Jeff is also a respected member of Program Management Professionals (PMP). During his free time, Jeff loves playing golf and spending time with family.
Knyja is the Director of Marketing and Media at GMG Sports and Entertainment (GMGSE). She is a communications specialist with more than 20 years of experience under her belt. She has earned an M.B.A. in Business Management from the Morris Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia College.
Knyja has a unique Marketing & Communications background and has worked as a marketing and media relations’ consultant for SRC/Universal Records, Aneelys Records, Girlfriends Magazine, Crownworld Entertainment and Recruit TV. She also has a background in educational marketing and recruitment as the former Director of High School Relations at Robert Morris University and the Director of High School Programs at DeVry University.
As a former television host of an Emmy-nominated television show, Knyja has interviewed an impressive catalog of celebrities and won numerous industry awards.

Maya Joy Peterson is the Director of Operations at GMGSE. She and a seasoned Customer Experience Manager with 15 plus years in the field. Maya has extensive experience in the healthcare industry and she’s also a licensed health and life insurance producer. Having held multiple positions in the banking, medical and insurance fields, Maya is able to tailor her skills to meet the needs of various clients.
Her work has increased efficiency in several of her assigned roles - in 2016 MetLife of Metro Milwaukee honored her with an "Associate of the Year" award. She specializes in employee development programs such as staff retreats and new employee onboarding. Maya excels at interacting directly with potential and existing clients and has increased customer satisfaction ratings at an array of companies.
Maya graduated Cum Laude from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. She is also an active member of the community in Milwaukee, WI, where she currently resides. Maya teaches art to a variety of Girl Scout troops, she’s a mentor at Pearls For Teen Girls and volunteers at Washington High School's College-Bound Program.
Manwell Talbert is a Master Trainer and Performance Coach at GMGSE. He’s a sports fitness expert with more than 15 years of experience and industry knowledge. Over his tenure in the industry, Manwell has trained multiple professional athletes across the NBA, NFL and dignitaries.
Manwell specializes in Strength and Conditioning, Sports Specific, Weight loss training and Nutrition. He also holds certifications in AFAA, NASM, Kettlebells, TRX, Pre and Post-natal and Trigger Point. A former professional football athlete for the Bossier-Shreveport Battlewings and previous college standout wide receiver at New Mexico State University, Manwell prides himself on hard work and
dedication to be your best self.

Alexandra is a Master Trainer and Performance Coach at GMGSE. She’s a health and fitness expert with 13 years of industry knowledge. She studies the human body and how it operates to perform at its highest capacity. Alexandra works with athletes for independent professional training. She also competed on some of the largest contest and has won the IFFB Bikini Pro Card and the Miss Mr. America All-Around Fitness Competitor multiple times.
Alexandra holds a Bachelors in Exercise Science, Masters in Sports Management, ACSM Exercise Physiologist, Personal Trainer, Health Coach, NCCPT Flexibility Specialist, Kettlebell One Certified, Pre and Post-natal certified, Pro IFBB Body Builder and owner of RX F.I.T Club.
As a former college standout track star the University of North Carolina – Charlotte (UNCC), she understands the drive of an athlete to excel at their personal best. She sets out to educate other athletes on how to improve their health and well-being through the “fitness” of their mind and body. Her motto is to change life’s perspective one workout at a time by gearing your mind to move your body to reach your attainable goals.”
Dale McNeil is the Director of Player Personnel & Development. His expertise extends from day to day interaction and training with clients. Dale is a former physical education teacher, with multiple years of teaching experience and a passion for helping others achieve their dreams.
Over the years, he’s been able to increase his knowledge for the game through literacy and execution. He honed his NBA knowledge and talents by working under the tutelage of former NBA veteran and general manager Billy Knight, he also work under former NBA scout Terry Knight. Dale currently attends NBA development camp hosted by the legendary Tim Grgurich each summer where he passes on his knowledge to up and coming players in the league.
A talented high school standout at the guard position, Dale played at Woodland Hills High School for the legendary coach Matt Furjanic in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dale went on to play college basketball at CCAC in Pittsburgh. He later participated in an individual workout with the Indiana Pacers. Although Dale did not make the team, the experience helped mold him into the position he holds today.
Dale earned his Bachelors of Science degree in therapeutic Recreation from Benedict College. During his free time, Dale loves traveling and spending time with family.
